For free handling of the animals we would recommend ages 4 and up however we have had some children younger than this take part in sessions with assistance and restricted handling.
Absolutely, there will be lots of opportunities to capture photos throughout the session to retain as memories or to prove you did it
Yes, firstly these animals are not the big bad scary creatures we are often led to believe, secondly here at reptile encounters scotland we spend a lot of time with each animal prior to their inclusion as an ambassador, this allows us to develop relationships with the guys and assess their individual temperament and personality prior to deciding if they will join the ambassador team for handling. It is however important to remember these are wild animals who are not domesticated as species, there is always an experienced handler right there with you to ensure you and the animal both have positive interaction
